Restoration Projects An Eagle Scout consulted with Blackhawk Chapter members on his community project to restore Rock Island caboose #17689 in Tinley Park, Illinois. The Blackhawk Chapter will be happy to assist individuals or organizations on their equipment preservation projects. |  |

addition to the above activities, many individual Blackhawk Chapter members are
involved in volunteering at railroad museums, supporting railroad advocacy groups,
promotion of the railfan hobby, model railroading and educating the public of
the railroads' historical significance and role in today's world.
